Climate
During the course of the year Serifos will change several costumes: a green one for spring, a white one for winter, but most of the time the island will choose a shiny brown, deriving from the -full of history- stone and the low vegetation.
From May till October the northern winds of the Aegean are quite dominant -the so-called “meltemia” (/mεl’tεmiα/)-, the force and duration of which increase by the end of July and in August.
These Cycladic meltemia keep the climate cool during the summer months, offering, along with the sunshine, pleasant weather conditions for the tourists.
But even if the weather is not on your side, you can always find shelter from the wind in one of the magnificent beaches or in the picturesque narrow alleys of Serifos.
Winter is mild on the island, with average rainfall, humidity and some snow, but ferry coverage is limited that time of the year.
