Museums
There are two museums that operate in Serifos, both of which host part of the island’s history: the Folklore Museum in Kato Chora and the Archeological Collection in Livadi.
The “rich” mining history of the island unfortunately does not have a permanent, organized home yet. Although there is an exhibition of rocks and mining tools in Mega Livadi, its operation and visiting possibilities are sometimes doubtful. It is housed in the building of the old Elementary school of the area, behind the bust of Konstantinos Speras, leader of the strike of 1916.
