Access by ship
Serifos is a favorite nearby destination of thousands of visitors each year, as it is located only 70 nautical miles away from the port of Piraeus, with the ships covering about eighty.
In the summer it is connected on a daily basis by conventional ferries and speedboats, with the port of Piraeus as well as the neighboring Cyclades islands, such as Kithnos, Sifnos, Kimolos and Milos. Frequent is the connection with the islands of Paros, Siros and Folegandros, but sparse with Andros, Tinos, Mikonos and Kea (Tzia). During winter the ferry schedules are less frequent and depend both on the year period and the weather conditions.
The journey by ship takes about 4:40 hours and by speedboat it does not exceed 2:30 hours – you may face small delays during your return, though, due to crowding in the port of Piraeus.
