Halfway from the beach of Avlomonas to Psili Ammos, you will meet the sign that will lead you on the right, towards Agios Sostis beach, and in 500 meters you will reach the parking lot. If you find the paddock’s gate open, you may be tempted to reach the beach with your vehicle. However, we would advise you not to, on the one hand because the dirt road is often inaccessible due to the winter rainfall, and on the other, because we are all responsible to preserve the natural beauty of the scenery. Besides, the distance that you will need to walk to get to the beach is short.

The view of this picturesque beach from above will enchant you at first glance. It was named after the homonymous church that stands alone on the rocks of the cove and is revived each year with its unique folklore feast, on the evening of September 6th. It is suggested that you get your camera and climb the few stairs that will lead you to the church of Agios Sostis. Explore the wild rocks that stretch behind it and dive into the sea by the small pier, below. The beach has golden sand, is almost halfway covered with big tamarisks and faces the small barren islet of Vous. On the left side there is another bay, the Vorino Plakoto beach, which usually suffers by strong north winds and is rarely suitable for swimming. We suggest that you bring water and snacks with you and that you arrive early enough to catch a shady spot – on the eastern coast of the island the sun hides earlier behind the Chora of Serifos and its surrounding mountains.
