Livadi - Ramos - Kalo Ampeli
Average duration: 50 minutes + 20 minutes
Length: 3,2 km + 0,6 km
From Livadi you will ascend the road that passes by Livadakia and runs through the southern part of Serifos. Just over one kilometer after the village of Ramos, you will go left to the junction that you will meet and then, a few meters further, you will go down the road on the right, till the parking lot. Until here it will take you about 50 minutes, but you can also arrive by vehicle, since the route so far is an asphalt road. At this point start the built stairs that pass by the ravine and turn into a clear trail. This ascends smoothly till the church of Sotiras with the famous folklore fest and descends a bit more steeply, till the beautiful beach of Kalo Ampeli. According to the “Serifian version” of mythology, the “Garbias” islet that you can see at the southern end of the bay is the rock that the blinded Cyclops Polyphemus threw towards Odysseus’s ship.
