Galani, a village of few inhabitants, was named after the ancient galena mines that used to be in the area. Its establishment dates back to the first post-revolutionary years, when refugees from Peloponnese and other islands arrived in Serifos. The village’s houses retain the Cycladic style and its location offers amazing view to the Aegean. The trail from Pirgos village (signage #6) passes through Galani and leads to the the big beach of Sikamia.
